Skin Needling also known as Collagen induction therapy works by using tiny microneedles to create small perforations or micro channels in the skin. This micro injury caused in the skin then stimulates the natural healing response by stimulating new collagen- rich tissue. Skin Needling is a minimally invasive treatment which is relatively pain free. You may feel a slight discomfort throughout the treatment however this sensation is only temporary as it is a relatively quick procedure. To help minimise the potentially uncomfortable sensation, topical anesthetic or numbing cream can be optional. When asked to rate this procedure on the pain scale, “Dr Gohara says she would rate the procedure a 4-10”.

Every client is uniquely different and requires a set amount of recommended treatments according to their skin condition/ skin concerns. Ultimately most clients require 4-6 sessions with each session spaced from 4-6 weeks apart for optimal skin rejuvenation and collagen induction.

Post treatment clients may expect some redness, the skin may feel tight and skin sensitivity that may feel similarly to a sunburn. This will typically subside within 24 hours after the treatment.
